Relaunched, Reloaded, and--dare to dream--Regularly updated!
So, welcome back to North of Normal, the blog. I've been meaning to get back into this blogging thing for a while now and now I think I'm both ready and serious. Or ready and frivolous. Whatever. Expect more commentary, nonsense, links to USB-powered pellet guns, and random observations about the kickability of pigeons.
The Real Inspector Hound opened last night, to a small but appreciative audience. And so we close the first season of Barefoot Productions, and I think it has been a medium sized success. We put together four excellent shows, had pretty good turnout (though it remains to be seen what Hound brings in, it looks like Later Life was the box-office winner), got some press. Looking ahead to next season, there are definitely some things I hope we can do differently, but as far as the dreaded "learning experiences" tend to go, this first season has been relatively painless.
And now we have a whole summer to prepare for the '07-'08 season. Right now, it looks like we're going to have Misery in October, Vincent in Brixton in December, Driving Miss Daisy in January, and Black Coffee in April. I don't know that I will be acting in any of these, but I'm sure I'll be drafted into some kind of backstage nonsense. Kicking and screaming the entire way, I assure you. . .
