Ulysses S. Grant wants to kick your ass. Look at this guy. Look at how much he wants to break some heads. I used to eat little bastards like you for breakfast at Shiloh, he's thinking. And you are going to use me to pay for organic goat cheese.

You know, I never had a problem with Tony Siragusa. I thought he was just another happy fat guy. When he retired, I have to admit, I made a few jokes about his girth without the discipline of regular football workouts, but overall he struck me as an okay guy. I put him in the apathetic-leaning-positive pile of current and recently former football players and went back to wondering why people don't mic up Shannon Sharp for every game. Now, of course, it appears that he's a phenomenal jackass. Good to know. Wish I knew it sooner. I don't think I'm going to launch into a rant about this, but there's one brewing, trust me. Here's to hoping Goose keeps his mouth shut for the next couple of days.

While we're not on the topic, this is why the Democrats aren't going to win anything again, ever. I'd like to say it's because the left is too virtuous to start a rumor that it's oponents are pedophiles, but I think the real reason is that the Dems are wimps. I don't want to advocate a race to the bottom of the mire, but if this is what we are fighting, we should fight it. Not pretend that it's not happening.

And because it never gets old, more reasons to hate Cat Stevens.

I love the Tuesday Morning Quarterback because he agrees with me that NFL teams should be more aggressive in going for it on fourth down as opposed to punting, particularly loosing teams. I think he's a bit more extreme about it than I am, in fact, and I regularly get a baffled and dazed look from Falstaff and This Guy when I explain my position. This is a longwinded way of saying, Read TMQ.

Lastly, in the Great Good News department (and I hope she doesn't mind me making an announcement here), Fertility Goddess has just recieved her acceptance letter to Wayne State University, whereat she will be studying Theatrical Costuming!
