Woot
Progress has been made on the job front! Not a lot, but some. HR wanted to know exactly what my schedule would be starting in January, and what hours I would be free to work, and what I could guess/predict that my schedule in other semesters would look like. They need to know, for example, if I take evening classes in the summer, will I be able to work full time? They need to know this because it effects their negotiations with OfficeTeam over the "headhunter fee" if/when they hire me.
Betsy re-assured my that both her and the CEO want me for this position, and are trying to get HR on board. HR, in turn, is coming around it seems. So, I may have a real, live job by the end of the year. And wouldn't that be a merry Christmas? Also, got some hints about salary. At full-time, the job is listed at $28k to $34k. Likely, if I get hired in at part time, I'd be at the low end of that, which is fine by me. I'm not gonna get rich, but then again, I will be able to pay my bills. Of course, this came from someone who is not in the HR department, and who loaded the whole conversation down with a ton of caveats. Oh, and get this--one of the nuns, Sr. Anna, has been praying that they hire me. Awwwww. HIRE ME. GOD SAID SO.
